How to turn a product brief into a UGC-style video ad
A practical workflow for writing a product-led hook, checking claims, and generating a short vertical video clip.

How to turn a product brief into a UGC-style video ad
A useful product video starts with the facts you can show. Before opening a video generator, write down the product name, the audience, one benefit you can support, and the image or clip that shows the product clearly.
Start with a narrow brief
Imagine a travel pouch with a removable divider. A workable brief is: “Travel pouch for frequent travelers. The removable divider helps organize small items.” It gives the script a subject, an audience, and a demonstrable feature. It does not claim that every traveler will save time or that customers love it.
If you use a product URL, check the extracted details against the live product page. Product pages may contain variants, outdated prices, or broad marketing claims that should not be repeated in a new ad without review.
Write three angles for the same product
Try a problem hook about packing small items, a demonstration focused on moving the divider, and an everyday-use story about preparing a carry-on. These are different ways to introduce one confirmed feature. They give you a useful comparison without requiring three unrelated concepts.
Keep the opening short. The viewer should understand the product and the reason to watch within the first few seconds. Then show the product doing the thing the script mentions.
Check the script before rendering
Read each line against your product information. Remove invented reviews, unsupported performance claims, prices, and discounts. If an AI actor appears on screen, avoid presenting the performance as an independent customer testimonial.
In UGCGen's creation flow, you can enter the brief, compare three draft angles, and edit the chosen script before generating a vertical clip. Add a product image when visual consistency matters.
Review the finished clip
Watch for changes to packaging, incorrect on-screen words, mismatched narration, or a feature shown differently from the real product. Regenerate or edit the clip if any of those appear. A generated clip is a creative draft; your final campaign still needs a product and claims review.
